Peruvian Garlic – Barranquino

Availability – from January to May.

Cultivated only in the area of Barranca city, directly by the Pacific Ocean. Related to the Spanish variety Morado.

Bulb sizes from 45 to 65 mm. Light peel, red-violet clove. Can be stored well under normal conditions outside cold storage. The cloves are oblong, fitting closely to each other, of a red shade, the shape of the bulb is round and regular. The number of cloves in the bulb varies from 7 to 10. The harvest takes place in October.
